Connecting With the Next Generation Through Education

“Broken Limbs” was created with the single-minded intent to encourage a renewed conversation around food and farming in this country. This free teachers’ guide offers three fully developed units designed to fit into a variety of curricula and get students more deeply involved with the questions and ideas posed in “Broken Limbs.” It is specifically written for grades 9 through 12, and for college-level courses, although it may be easily adapted for use with younger viewers.

Your students are the ones who will largely determine what our future systems for food and farming will look like. We hope this teachers’ guide will help you jumpstart their
thinking about the shape of the world to come.
